ABOUT
TEAM

Our Team

Robert Baral, CPA is one of the innovators in the outsourced accounting field.  In 1980, Bob started R.C. Baral & Company to serve the needs of the entertainment industry and quickly developed one of the first outsourced accounting service lines in the United States. R.C. Baral has served clients such as Walt Disney, GE/Universal, Time Warner/Warner Brothers, Fox, and many others. Bob was also the co-founder of IQ Backoffice, a leading outsource & accounting firm that specialized in high volume accounts payable and full cycle accounting for restaurant & hotels, manufacturing & pharmaceutical, dental, banking & insurance, legal, and REITs. As co-founder, Bob helped grow the company until it was later sold to the Ayala Corporation, one of the oldest and largest Corporations in the Philippines.  R.C. Baral & Company, together with 86 Costs, has over 45 global employees and offices in the US and Canada.

Dennis Foster brings over 30 years’ experience overcoming finance, operations and strategy challenges that face many businesses today. Before joining 86 Costs, Mr. Foster was COO & Co-Founder of a leading Finance Accounting outsourcing & consulting company. His process engineering grew the company to over 550 worldwide employees. The company was sold to the largest corporation in the Philippines. Prior to that, Mr. Foster stepped in as President of RUI, a precision components manufacturer for laser, to return the company to profitability by implementing innovative operations and sourcing strategies.  By expertly managing for cash, he relieved much of the company’s burdensome debt and regained equity to the balance sheet.

As Senior Manager for Deloitte Consulting, Mr. Foster directed numerous engagements for Fortune 100 industrial and service companies.  For these companies he developed business, marketing and new product strategies; performed competitive assessments and cost structure analysis; led large-scale ERP projects; reengineered finance, accounting and other business processes; designed and implemented a wide range of operations improvements; and functioned as a troubled-company interim manager. Mr. Foster earned his BS in engineering from California Polytechnic University, Pomona and his MBA in finance and strategy from The Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at the Claremont Graduate University.

Jon Fox has spent 15-years working in the Outsourced Finance & Accounting environment. His most recent experience includes working for a premier restaurant accounting & consulting firm where he was responsible for the onboarding and system setup of more than 30 restaurant clients ranging in size from 1 location to more than 20 locations. Some of the notable clients he worked with was Lemonade, Pink Taco, Maria’s Italian Kitchen, Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles, and many other notable hospitality concepts. Starting his career, he worked for a leading finance and accounting outsourcing company and worked with notable restaurants such as Grill Concepts (Daily Grill, Grill on the Alley, and Public School), California Pizza Kitchen, Rosa Mexicana, Sizzler, and a 30-unit Jamba Juice Franchise. Jon Fox has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University Northridge.

Jesenia Diaz comes to us with over 10-years of restaurant accounting experience. She worked with a premier restaurant accounting & consulting firm where she onboarded and trained accounting staff. She improved efficiencies and reduced the close cycle by creating a shared service environment, with a relationship manager approach. She also acted as the Controller for concepts such as Dog Haus, Freshlunches, Bean Sprouts, Gladstone’s, Bacio Di Latte, and many more notable brands. She started her career working with a large Puerto Rican franchise of Taco Bell, IHOP, and KFC where she audited sales, closed the period, created and provided financial reports, and was responsible for standardization & training of accounting processes. With the standardization techniques, they were able to manage more than 200 locations with what people would consider minimal staffing. She was also an assistant manager for Chuck-e-Cheese while studying. Jesenia graduated, with honors, from the State University of Puerto Rico, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Accountancy.
